Domain authority checker: how strong is your site?
Enter a site to see its authority score from 0 to 100, from DataForSEO's link data, with the referring domains and backlinks behind it.
Free, no signupWhat the authority score is
It is DataForSEO's rank for your domain, a measure from 0 to 1,000 built from the links pointing at it, shown here divided by 10 so it reads from 0 to 100.
Moz's Domain Authority and Ahrefs' Domain Rating come from their own link indexes, so each tool gives a site a different number. Compare sites on one tool's score, and don't mix them.
What moves it
Links from other sites, weighted by how strong those sites are themselves. A link from a site with a high score of its own adds more than many links from sites nobody links to.
The check shows the referring domains and backlinks behind your score, and the five strongest sites linking to you. The full list, up to 100 linking sites with their anchor text, opens with your email.
Common questions
Is this the same as Moz Domain Authority?
No. Domain Authority is Moz's score, from Moz's own index. This is DataForSEO's rank on a 0 to 100 scale. Both rise as stronger sites link to you, but the numbers are not interchangeable.
What is a good authority score?
One that is higher than the sites you compete with for the same searches. Check them here and compare like with like, on the same tool.
Why is my score low or missing?
A young site with few links scores low, and a site DataForSEO holds no links for has no score at all. It moves as the links pointing at you change.
Is it free?
Yes, with no signup. The full list of linking sites asks for your email. A site checked in the last 7 days shows its saved result.
