What the check does
It requests /llms.txt at the root of the domain you enter.
A plain-text file there counts as present. An error, an empty file or a web page counts as missing. So does a file that only lives on a docs subdomain.

Common questions
Is llms.txt required?
No. llms.txt is optional. The checker shows whether a file is served; it cannot show that an answer engine uses it.
What should go in it?
Your product name as a heading. One line on what it is and who it is for. Links to your key pages, such as docs and pricing, with a short label each. Keep it matching what your site says.
